Face Masks – The Unintended Consequence for Bank Robbers

The safety precautions against Covid-19 are important. But, like any action, there are unintended consequences.

The two factors creating one such unintended consequence are as follows:

1.We have been told to wear face masks of some sort when out in public.

2. Banks are open as an essential function.

So, now everyone in a bank is wearing a face mask — the uniform previously reserved for those wanting to rob banks. Clearly this creates a new challenge for bank guards and law enforcement alike: how to tell the customers from the bank robbers? While law enforcement agencies grapple for a solution to this challenge, bank customers are being advised to wear particularly silly masks (not likely to be adorned by any serious bank robber) and to keep their hands in the open so that it is obvious that you are unarmed. Also, only attempt to make withdrawals at a bank at which you have an account.

Concealed carry and using a mask are probably not a good idea when visiting your bank.

If you go back and look through the movies that feature bank robbers wearing masks, don’t a lot of the bank robbers in the films wear silly masks? Could that be a potential problem for the security guards?

On a sidenote, I don’t really appreciate having to do math at the bottom of these blog posts.

Hilarious! Great take. Does this now create a black market for thieves seeking CV-19 special masks. What about gloves or self cleaning money laundering! – haha! Yeah, that was intentional. Keep it up!
